This Time For Africa

This time for Africa

Everywhere i go, everywhere i look, it's all about football. Call me whatever you want but the only things i know about football are along the lines of Christiano Ronaldo and his good looks. And that's about it. But i do love the song waka waka (this time for Africa) by Shakira. Lovelove, it. Waka Waka eh eh

I was singing the song, and wondered why waka waka. Waka waka in swahili actually means burn brightly, burn well, shine. Do u feel the African vibe in the song? I do! It makes it so much more exciting, which is why i'm even considering going to Cape Town for and exchange. People tell me i'm crazy! They say it's dangerous, blablabla... But what they didn't know is that Cape Town is the most multi-cultural cities in the world! What do you think? Should i apply for an exchange/transfer to Cape Town? Would be kind of cool to be on of the fews who would dare go for an exchange there. Talk about standing out. :p

I was listening to the radio the other day, and they brought up the topic of everybody's watching and talking about football. Well, for football illiterates like me, it's pretty hard to live through this period. The hot topic now is about football and everytime people talk about it, i would be so lost! The only thing i would talk about in these situations is that Korea lost to Portugal, 7-0. :P I'm so sesat! lol.

~*~*~*~*~*~

I'm having mid term break as i'm typing this. My break actually ends on the 19th of July. I don't understand why Monash can't give longer breaks during mid term when we get 4 months to rot at home end of the year. Sigh.

Anyways, i feel that i had a really productive break so far.

#1 I had a few self reflective sessions, and my conclusion is that: I'M BACK!

;)

*PS. You should be happy for me!

#2 I redecorated my room! Sort of.

TADA!

Yeap, i stuck on motives bought from IKEA.

It looked good a few days back, but now everything keeps falling off :( i'm depressed. My advice is, don't get  those stick on decoratives, they fall off so fast! It has only been a few days and everything is looking like crap. Sigh. I think i'm going to get stencils soon.

I also moved around the shelves a bit. Will snap a photo soon.

Now, i'm onto cleaning up my closet. I'm so hooked onto online shopping, it's crazy. My closet has been growing the past few months to the extent that i cannot chuck in anymore clothes. I've been telling myself,

 'my wallet is closed'

like how Rebecca Bloomwood tells herself in Shopaholic. But it had not worked at all! I've been spending all my money on clothes, clothes and more clothes.

So, i came up with a brilliant plan, i might just open a blogshop selling off my old clothes. Then, i can use the money to buy NEW ONES :)

People are hard to change, aren't they :p

#3 Major catch up with friends

#4 Watched tonnes of movies :p
I remember whining about how i don't watch movies in cinema anymore. This break gave me the chance to do so. A few movies i've managed to catch:

Prince of Persia (The Sands of Time)

It was one word: AWESOME.

I was anticipating for this movie, and thank god it wasn't a let down. Love Disney's productions. At first when i thought of Jake Gyllenhaal being the prince, it was abit hard to imagine, cause in my head, i perceived him as a really cute nerd.

From nerd to Hero.

No doubt, he was good looking in Prince of Persia. And what can i say? He worked hard for that body.

Food for thought: He should consider waxing so he can look like men in 300:

IP Man (A Legend is Born)

I would say this was an 'okay' movie. I still prefer IP Man 1. Haven't watched IP Man 2 yet :(

The A-Team

Packed with a few entertaining scenes. And the way the A-Team plan their missions, flawless. I would totally recommend this.

Toy Story 3

Toy Story 3 was fun, i would say. There were a few unexpected twists in the story. But what i love was beginning and the ending of the movie. Not to mention also the few witty scenes that cracked up the cinema.  Although I think the ending for toy story 3 is a perfect ending for the whole toy story sequel, i really hope they come up with Toy Story 4.

Have you ever thought what would it be like if toys actually came alive. It would be kind of scary wouldn't it? It would be exactly like CHUCKY, which would be awful!

Chucky

Well, that's all for today, see ya soon! :)
